Is my computer security sufficient?

now a few days ago i was on my most used account on my computer and outta nowhere it says i have a virus and that everything is infected and anytime i click on anything it says the application cannot be executed because it is infected and this keeps popping up every 5 seconds and its annoying because i have a lot of pictures,videos,music,etc. on that account and its only that account that is infected and no other ones which i think doesn't make sense but whatever is there anyway to transfer my stuff from my old account onto my new one? or maybe fix my old account?because nothing works on my old one. when i click on it to scan my computer it wont help it just scans which is bullshit HELP I DON'T WANNA LOSE ALL MY MUSIC ON ITUNES!!!!!!and other stuff!! unlock iphone 3g

it's better to update your security if you have and if not it is will be big problem because many virus and alot of them is dangerouse which is the way to make bad news about your documents and pic and vedio
I make mistake like that which cost me problems with my site so after that anti-virus becomes the fist thing i install after formatting or when i buy new computer
so I advise every one not to forget getting anti-virus softwear and install it in his machine ether computer or mobile

Copmaq presario 2500 maybe 7+ years old. How do I get this thing to run faster. When we boot it up it takes 5 - 10 minutes before you can use anything, any sooner than that it will freeze up. The anti virus recently expired and anything I tried to put onto it totally screwed it up. After Mcafee I couldnt get anything to run. I took that off and am using a free avg for now. But seriously everything is so slow on this thing what can I do to get it running faster? Yeah I know throw it away and get a new one. Not that easy its my GF's and she loves it. We use my computer primarily but when im busy on mine or just every now and then she likes to use hers.

Look in your Start Menu for "Anti-Virus".Or a red shield in your taskbar saying you need Virus Protection. Then you will know if you do or not.

It seems avira can't open and scan the files containing the virus, ive tried spybot, but it only removes spyware and not the virus itself. Its causing the my computer to run extremely slow, its always oprating on 100 percent even if im not doing anything, any tips on how to remove it? thanks in advance
